California is one of my absolute favorite places to visit for a vacation.
There is just so much to do and see here, it’s no wonder its the most visited place in the US.

“California is the most visited state in the United States. The state’s vast area is home to various vibrant cities, amusement parks, beaches and natural wonders that are popular among travelers from America and the rest of the world.”
During my last visit to California I had a packed itinerary.
But here are three of my favorite things I did while there.
1)The Gallery Experience at B-Love’s Guest House.

This visual experience is located in the Oakland section of California home of the Black Panther Party.

“Established in 2008 and set in a lovely Victorian house, B-Love’s Guesthouse is a perfect stay for the visiting artist, digital nomad, or business professional.”
“Black woman-owned, B-Love’s is an extension of artist and activist Traci “B-Love” Bartlow’s lifestyle of wellness and creativity.”

Absolutely amazing experience with an amazing host to match!
I would highly recommend adding this unique experience to your vacation itinerary.
2) See San Francisco From a Vintage VW Bus Tour.

Without a doubt the team over Vantigo have started something very special.
We found this tour on the Airbnb vacations search section.
“You will be picked up at our easily accessible pickup location and driven by one of our professional guides in either Lillie or Harvey, our two fully restored vintage 1971 Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter Buses.“
Not only was transportation included but they conveniently picked us up around the corner from our hotel Parc-55.
So after the pick up we were on our way to explore the beautiful city of San Francisco.
“The tour will last approximately 3 hours and you will get to see all that San Francisco has to offer including 5 photo stops.”

“The tour bus for a vintage Volkswagen bus that easily navigates the city’s less-traveled lanes from the Golden Gate to the Painted Ladies”.
This view was absolutely breathtaking to see.
Undoubtedly a great time and great way to see San Francisco.
The one thing missing from this tour was the food element.
It would have to been cool to stop at one the great restaurant’s in San Fran’s China Town for a small bite.
Speaking of food my third and final favorite thing I did in California was dine at Gott’s Roadside!
3) Grab a Burger at Gott’s Roadside

“Founded by brothers Joel and Duncan Gott in St. Helena in 1999 and recognized as a James Beard America’s Classic”.

Gott’s Roadside is known for its modern approach to creating California-inspired dishes using locally sourced ingredients”.

I really liked the old school drive up vibe of this restaurant.
Although this place gets packed the wait time was very short.
Obviously the owners here make customer service a top priority!
Not only are these burgers delicious but they are also very affordable.
Which was nice because things can get pretty expensive in California as a whole.
I went with their WESTERN BACON BLUE RING burger .
Beer-battered onion ring, Point Reyes crumbled blue cheese, Zoe’s bacon, pickles, red onion & BBQ sauce on a toasted egg bun.
SWEET POTATO FRIES
Chili spice-dusted & served with house-made ranch.
