With the summer months upon us locals flock to New York’s famed City Island.
City Island is the name and seafood is their game!
There are over thirty plus restaurants on City Island it is a seafood lovers paradise.
Located in the northeastern section of the Bronx,with a population of 4,362,
A visit to City Island makes for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Tri-State.
Despite only having one way in and one way out,
which can often make for a traffic nightmare,
Hundreds of people still visit City Island annually.
Now lets talk food…
My top three City Island spots are Sammy’s Fish Box, Johnny’s Reef & Tony’s Pier.
Sammy’s is a sit down reservation recommended kind of restaurant.
It’s one of dads favorite places to eat so we usually celebrate Father’s Day there.
Of course this year was a little different due to Covid-19. But have no fear, you can still get your eat on!
Sammy’s announced back in March that they have added add’l Zip-Codes to their delivery route.

Johnny’s Reef & Tony’s Pier is a whole different kind of vibe!
You can enjoy your food and drinks with a beautiful view of City Island Harbor.
I love both of these spots equally,here is a visit to Johnny’s Reef last year.
I know that City Island is mostly known for their seafood,but they also have some killer BBQ ribs.
Our favorite ribs are from Tony’s Pier.
They also have some delicious seafood combos! Needless to say I love City Island.
