At the edge of the Bronx just beneath the Wills Ave bridge you will find New York’s first Hip-Hop themed restaurant Beatstro.
I first visited Beatstro back in July of 2019, I heard really good things about their Beats & Brunch.
I made a early reservation, as their weekend Brunch gets booked up pretty quickly.
The space was so freaking cool, with beautiful chandeliers and amazing wall art.
Next it was time to take a look a their Brunch menu.
Everything looked so good ,the food here is a fusion of Puerto Rican and African American cuisine.
I was torn between their “Low Country “Shrimps & Grits & their Locrio”
So after mulling over the menu for what seemed like forever I decided to go with the “Locrio”
“Locrio”-Shrimp Fried Rice with Beans, 2 SunnySide Up Eggs,Kimchi Slaw and last but not least,Beastro sauce!
It was absolutely delicious. I had that with a nice hot cup of coffee. It was perfection!
After the 2020 pandemic Beatstro like most restaurants in New York City, set up outdoor seating areas.
And I must say Beatstro has one of the coolest outdoor seating areas to date!
Every weekend Beatstro has what’s called Beats &Brunch.
There is a live DJ spinning a dope mix of tunes, all while you are enjoying your delicious Brunch entrees & Cocktails!
This would be my second time hitting up Beatstro.
Me and the bestie came another time for Brunch as well.
Bestie had the Bronx Brewery Summer Ale,while I had the Brunch Mimosa.

For appetizer we ordered the “Classic Mac– four cheese sauce and garlic breadcrumbs“.
Next it was time for our delicious entrees.
I ordered the “Thick Thighs & Hot Waffles“-
This dish comes with Crispy Dark meat Chicken, Pickled Strawberries & Maple Syrup.
My bestie ordered their “Vera Fried Chicken”–
This dish came with 2 pieces of dark meat, Blue Cheese Slaw and crispy Home Fries.
The food and service was great! The live DJ really adds that Boogie Down flavor and vibe!
In conclusion I would recommend Beatstro for a fun Brunch experience.
