Flamingo Baby in Park Slope Brooklyn is serving up some delicious Caribbean-Southern fusion cuisine.
And I am explicitly here for it being from both the South and Caribbean myself.
Over the weekend I had a chance to hit up this fairly new spot for Brunch.
According to our sever they have been open a little over a year now.
We arrived around 3:30p in the afternoon.
Brunch is served between the hours of 10:00a-5:00p.
The restaurant has a pretty spacious outdoor seating area, but it was a bit chilly out so we decided to dine indoors instead.
It should be noted inside the restaurant is not very big, given that we were happy to have been seated right away.
Once seated we were handed our menus thereafter.
The menu consisted of a variety of delicious eye catching dishes.
Everything from Penne Pasta to the traditional Caribbean dish Braised Oxtail.
With so many delicious options to choose from we eventually decided on the Shrimps & Grits & French Toast.
First we started with the Codfish Fritters with dipping sauce and Brunch Mimosas.

Next we were served the House French Toast topped with fresh fruit and house whipped butter. Myself any my cousin decided to share each plate.
Last but not least it was time for our Yellow Corn Grits + Shrimp in a white wine cream sauce, with mushrooms & scallions.
In conclusion I enjoyed my Brunch dishes.
I will undoubtedly be going back for another visit.
Finally whatever this restaurant may lack in size they make up in service.
It was a pleasure being served by high school friends Shen & Paris who really made us feel most welcomed.
