The city of Houston is really a food lovers paradise and The Breakfast Klub is absolutely a part of the reason!
For the last stop on our Houston food tour we ate at the infamous Breakfast Klub.
the breakfast klub is central to Houston’s daily life…lokal politicos kome here to powwow; downtown lawyers and CEOs congregate and debate;
It should be noted that this is a breakfast only establishment with brief hours of operation.
Monday thru Friday 7 am – 2 pm and Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 2 pm
And although all of the food reviews were really good the mention of long lines were not.
Especially since the temperatures in Houston can really heat up.
No one wants to bake in the sun on a long line for hours.
Nonetheless we decided to give it a try.
And let me just I am so happy we did.
Firstly let me be clear in saying that there was a long line when we arrived.

Immediately the impatient New Yorker in me started to protest to my friends.
Was it really worth staying and waiting in this long line?
Because of this a debate on whether we should stay or leave ensued.
Just then the women standing in front of us who must’ve overheard our conversation exclaimed that the food here was absolutely worth waiting for.
Furthermore she told us that she visits almost every weekend and that The Breakfast Klub was one of her favorite restaurants in Houston.
Best of all she said that the QR code process that the restaurant has ensures that customers get in very quickly. Sold!

Not long after a greeter came out letting everyone know to please scan the QR code and take a look at their menu.

At this time he then began asking each customer how many people there were in each party.
I told him that we had three people in our party.
After he asked if each of us already knew what we wanted to order.
To which we all answered “Yup” Sure do” Yes we are starving”
Next thing we know we were being whisk away to the back.
At first we were like wait what is happening!?
No your eyes are not deceiving you!
There is a whole other restaurant behind the original one.
Now this how you do customer service baby!
We were elated and also ready to order and eat.
For one thing I was very pleased with the ordering process.
Not only was the hostess patient and thorough but also super welcoming.
Uniquely upselling but not in an obnoxious way.
Obviously we ordered some Brunch cocktails as well.
After that we were given our numbers and seated at our tables
So it turns out we ordered the two most popular items on the menu.
*KATFISH & GRITS – seasoned katfish fillet & grits served with
potatoes or 2 eggs & choice of toast or biskit

*WINGS & WAFFLE – a golden Belgian waffle surrounded by 6 wing
pieces & topped w/ powdered sugar and 1 fresh strawberry (waffle may be
substituted with pankakes or French toast)

Without a doubt this was some stick to your ribs goodness !
To sum things let me just say we loved this restaurant and its food so much that we made a stop at their location in the airport to eat on the plane ride home.
Last but not least be sure to hit up The Breakfast Klub the next time you are in H-Town!
Undoubtedly I will be back the next time I am in Houston.
