Celebrating National Bar-B-Que day is a whole lot different this year.
May is National Barbecue month, with Memorial day ending the month its the official kick off to summer.
The history of Americans cooking food over a grill is a long standing tradition.
Barbecuing meats like smoked sausage and brisket became popular during the 19th century.

One of my absolute favorite Bar-B-Que joints in the city is Dinosaur BBQ
They opened up on the West Side of Harlem back in 2004.Thus since they have opened locations in Brooklyn and Newark.
Their restaurant space was a nice addition to the revitalization of Riverside Drive.

Now let’s talk food…
May 16th is National Bar-B-Que day so I decided to celebrate with some good eats.
My favorite meal at Dinosaur is their *Sweetheart Deal for 2*

I first called to place my order and then headed over to pick it up,the guy on the phone said that my order would be ready in about 30-min.
Back when dining-in was all the rage, I would typically share this meal with either one of my home- girls or a co-worker. Once I even brought a date and we shared the “Sweetheart Deal “(Cute).lol
The foodie in me would love to take this meal down by myself!
Who am I kidding?! It’s just way to much food!

You get a full rack of Ribs plus your choice of four sides..Here are the sides I chose.
*Creole Potato Salad*

*BBQ Beans w/Pork*

*Simmered Greens*

*Mac & Cheese*

The ribs were literally finger licking good, the meat slide right off the bone.
To sum it up with all that’s going on I am happy to say that Dinosaur BBQ has not lost a step.
