Dinner at Piazza Sorrento was the perfect way to end our Hersey Pennsylvania vacation.
After the spending the later part of our afternoon at the very cool Hersey Museum I was famished.

So after a quick Yelp search we decided that Piazza Sorento would be our dinner destination.

First and foremost the moment we walked into the restaurant I could tell that this place was special.
It was cute and quaint and full of that “Old World” charm.

I don’t recall if we made reservations or if just walked in.
But this restaurant does currently take reservations.
The set up here is really cool with a take out Pizza shop in the front and the sit down restaurant in the back.

Firstly we took a look at the menu.

Following that we choose our appetizer first.
It was a tough decision between the Garlic Shrimp & Baked Crab Dip.
Garlic Shrimp -Sautรฉed shrimp, onions, tomatoes, olive oil, white wine,
garlic & fresh herbs served with GF crostini bread
Baked Crab Dip – Market Price
Lump crab, GF crostini bread and fresh herbs
We decided to go with their Baked Crab Dip.

Without a doubt this was a better choice.
Can you say delish!
The GF crostini bread paired nicely with the Crab-Dip.
Of course our dinner Cocktails were not far behind.

We went with Sorrento Sangria & Italian Margarita.
Sorrento Sangria
Red wine, Fruits, Triple sec, Ginger liqueur, Sprite, and Peach
vodka

Italian Margarita
Tequila, Bauchant, Amaretto, Lime, and Sours mix

Next it was time for the entrees.
The Garlic Shrimp Pasta & Linguini with Spicy Crab immediately caught our attention.
Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Shrimp, roasted garlic, onion, tomato, white wine, fresh herbs
tossed in linguini

Linguini with Spicy Crab – Market Price
Crab meat, spicy marinara and fresh herbs served over
linguini pasta

Both entrees were mouthwatering to say nothing of savory.
Afterwards the waitress brought out some delectable desserts to choose from.
Obviously I wanted every dessert here but I was stuffed and ended up taking a slice of the Triple Chocolate Cake to go.
In conclusion my dining experience at Piazza Sorrento was quite enjoyable.
They really did live up to their mission statement!
Dedicated to providing the finest in service, food, and wine at a fair and competitive price, Piazza Sorrento makes regional and classic Italian cuisine using only premium local ingredients while keeping the history of the dish and region intact.
