How deep is your New York Bagel, love?

Does your bagel love go as deep as the lines at Russ & Daughters?

Well mine certainly does! I am a sucker for a Toasted Everything Bagel.

Without a doubt ,my absolute favorite is a Everything Toasted Bagel with NOVA SMOKED SALMON, CREAM CHEESE, TOMATO, ONION, CAPERS

I hit up Russ & Daughters on a cold crisp Sunday morning. I decided to get there early having driven past there the week prior to see the lines out the door.

But this was a weekly if not daily occurrence at New York’s famed Russ and Daughters.

They have been providing SCHMEAR and LOX love to hungry New Yorker’s since 1914.The company was started by Joel Russ, he later employed his three daughters to work with him full time.

Russ would go on to change the businesses name to its current namesake “Russ & Daughters” Not only was this unheard but it was also very controversial at the time.

I arrived at around 8:15am. I was super excited to see that there were no lines forming outside!!

When you first enter the store you are greeted by a sign that tells you to grab a number, with a disclaimer not to miss your number being called.

(Full Disclosure-I missed my number being called.) Subsequently I had to rejoin the line and grab a new number!

Soo I was number 404 but got distracted by all of the good eats. It should be noted that the guys behind the counter were not amused!

I couldn’t help it, there is just so much goodness here on one side you have your mouthwatering Salmons, Smoked fish ,Spreads and Bagels!!(Wipes Drool!)

And on the other side there is the cutest little Coffee Shop within another shop that I have ever seen.

My bagel sandwich was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and they really pile on the Nova Smoked Salmon!

Above all I love that I live in one of the food capitals of the world!
