Tacombi is one of those special dining experiences you can only get in New York.
As a Mexican company founded on the soft sands of the Yucatan, Tacombi is focused on sharing authentic taco culture.
With eleven restaurants in New York City each location has its own distinctive vibe that is unique to that neighborhood.
One of my favorite locations to visit is their Upper West Side location.

This location is very spacious inside and they also have a very large outdoor seating area with heated lamps.
Which is really nice especially on those chilly New York afternoons.

I arrived at the restaurant right as they opened to avoid the lunch crowd. I am sure the crowds were on their way these joints stay packed!
Next it was time to take a look at the menu. So many things caught my eye.

As per usual I of course started off with an appetizer and cocktail!
First they brought out my Guacamole con Totopos.
The guacamole was creamy and delicious with just the right amount of cilantro.
And the fried tortilla chips aka “Totopos” were crunchy, salty and so very tasty.

Next they brought the most delicious Margarita made with
Tequila, fresh lime & orange liqueur on the rocks.

Finally it was time for my entree.
I ordered the two fish taco options.
Along with various sauces the tacos were also topped with some red cabbage.

SEARED FISH a La PLANCHA- Seared Alaskan Cod
BAJA CRISPY FISH-Beer-Battered Alaskan Cod
Both tacos were delicious but the Baja Crispy Fish was my favorite of the two without a doubt.
The Beer-Batter gave the cod a moist but somehow still crispy taste. So freaking good!

Not only is their food delicious but the good service and various locations make them one of my favorite Taco spots to visit.
Tacombi Taco is undoubtedly one of the best Taquerias in the city!
