I recently had the pleasure of having dinner & dessert at Bar Goyana & Mojo in El Barrio.

The Belgian-Brazilian couple behind MOJO Mousse Bar, brings to

El Barrio a new Brazilian-inspired Cocktail Bar located in the space

next door to the mousse shop.

Firstly let’s get into the dรฉcor at beautiful Bar Goyana.

The inside of this restaurant is not very big at all.

Even so it has a charming warm feeling when you enter.

With its beautiful vibrant tropical colors it appears larger than it is.

It should be noted that there is also an outdoor seating area.

According to the owner it seats around 25 people comfortably.

Now lets talk food.

First I took a look at their Happy Hour menu.

We ordered a few different cocktails to start.

For our first round we ordered The Caipirinha & Mango Mojito.

After that we had ordered the “Drink of the Day”

I actually enjoyed this drink way more than my first drink which was the Caipirinha.

This dish was very interesting unlike anything I had ever tasted.

Especially the Farofa which was very unique in it’s taste as well as its texture.

Admittedly, I didn’t absolutely love it but I didn’t hate it either.

Generally speaking I would try it again but perhaps with different sides.

All in all I enjoyed my dining experience at Bar Goyana and would recommend going for Happy Hour or a night out with friends!
