A couple of days ago I stopped in Dell’Aria one of East Harlem’s newest coffee shops.

Our premier location and headquarters are an expression of everything we care about in coffee and the community.
This coffee shop has been open for little over a year now.
I remember speaking with the owner that first week they opened.

I welcomed him to the neighborhood and promised I would be back to visit.
He was super nice then and he was super nice upon my recent visit.
Admittingly I had the assumption that this was just another café.
But this isn’t just your ordinary coffee shop.

This restaurant has three different elements to it.
They are Coffee Roasters, A Café as well as a Training Studio.
Coffee Roasters
Enjoy the theater of coffee roasting.
Dell’Aria is a full-service coffee which
means we roast… a lot
While speaking with the owner he mentioned that they are the first Italian Coffee Roasters in New York City.
With the bulk of their profits coming from wholesale shipping around the country.
I thought how freaking cool is that!

We roast all of our coffees on-site on our Probat P12 using a blend of 3rd Wave style and traditional Italian techniques.

Café
Featuring artisanal gelato, fresh baked goods, and our famous Focaccia toasts. Dell’Aria is a place to gather and become immersed in coffee and culture.
Then we have the café which also doubles as a Cyber Cafe.
With its high wooden ceilings and chill living room vibe its no wonder available seating was limited.

I decided to have a lite brunch and to catch up on some reading while there.

I enjoyed both the food and drinks here.
The salad was really good and my Salmon was fresh and delicious.
My Matcha Latte was made to perfection and the Marble Loaf Cake was tasty.
Training Studio
Mr. Leonti has introduced a philosophical approach to the skill and trade of the barista.
There are no other programs like these available anywhere else in the world.

You will find a warm cafe-like atmosphere as you are surrounded by marble, wood, and brick

We have created a unique system of learning which includes a curriculum that blends old ideas with new techniques.
