As I continued my Nola food tour while visiting for the Tales Of Cocktail’s event.
Bearcat Cafe was next on my list for brunch with the girls.
“We are a full service sit down cafe with a heavy emphasis on high-quality, fresh breakfast and lunch options.”
As you can see from this video the space is pretty big with two floors and an outdoor seating area.
I arrived at the restaurant at around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon.
And just like I had heard previously there was a wait and a line.
Because this restaurant does not take reservations or call ahead I added our names to the list.
Subsequently my wait time to be seated was anywhere from 45min to an hour.
Finally my name was called and me and my girls were seated.
Now lets talk food & Drinks!
To start we ordered a bottle of Prosecco Sparkling Wine for our drink.
After that we shared a few on their Brunch entrees.
First I started with a nice short stack of their pancakes.

The pancakes were average tasting, good but nothing special!
Next I tried the Steak & Eggs Brunch entree.

Again a decent dish but nothing too exciting.
Lastly, I had the Shrimp-Scallop & Grits Brunch entree.

Conversely this dish was good but not spectacular.
Above all the food at Bearcat is fairly decent and for the most part tasty.
The portion sizes are good and once we were seated the service was quick.
On the whole I am glad I had the chance to try the food at Bearcat.
As far as the long wait times I would have to say No the food here is not worth the wait in my opinion.
