Brenda’s French Soul Food has been a San Francisco staple since 2007.

Located in the historic Tenderloin area of San Francisco Brenda certainly has something special here.
I coined the phrase โFrench Soul Foodโ to describe the personal style of cuisine I wanted to bring to the public.

I was able to turn the shoddy Tenderloin greasy spoon I found on Craigslist into my dream restaurant.
Unfortunately the neighborhood where Brenda first opened her dream restaurant has become a nightmare of sorts.
Marred by drugs as well as the insurmountable number of unhoused it a marvel her restaurant still thrives.

But thriving is it, as was evident when I stopped in for their Sunday Brunch.
There were no afternoon reservations open so I did a walk- instead.
My wait time was not bad at all, only about thirty minutes.

Now lets talk food.
First I started off with some Brunch Cocktails.
HURRICANE ANDREW

After that the appetizers we ordered started to arrive.
First up we have the Beignet Flight.

The Beignet flight was delicious, the Apple & Crawfish were my two favorites.
Next were the Fried Green Tomatoes.

The Fried Green Tomatoes were really tasty, I enjoyed them.
Not long after that the entrees arrived at my table.
We decided to order a few dishes from the Brunch menu and share them all.
