On my most recent trip to San Francisco I decided to check out Ayesha Curry’s restaurant International Smoke.

Of course everyone knows her as the wife of Golden State Warriors superstar basketball player Stephen Curry.
But she is also a mom, actress, entrepreneur, cookbook author and restaurateur.

Ayesha Curry’s cookbooks are wildly popular.
I do not have them myself as of yet.
But I do plan on purchasing one or more in the near future.
However I do have a few friends that have purchased her cookbooks and they love them.
Not long after Ayesha went on to host three television cooking shows Cooking with the Curry’s, Ayesha Homemade Cooking & The Great American Baking Show.
Ayesha Curry opened International Smoke in collaboration with celebrity chef Michael Mena back on November 13 of 2017.
Michael Mena is a force to be reckoned with in his own right.
Hailing from Cairo, Egypt and garnering an extensive culinary career Michael Mena’s resume is extensive.
This two time Michelin starred awardee both in San Francisco as well Las Vegas, cooking style is seafood and Mediterranean.
The dynamic duo came together due to both of their passions for the international culinary arts.
Inspired by Curry and Minaโs shared love of global travels and international cooking techniques, International Smoke ignites flavor and creativity focused on woodfired steaks, seafood, ribs, and vegetarian entrees to create flavorful dishes that are craveable worldwide.
International Smoke is located in the heart of San Francisco.
And although I did Uber over to the restaurant from my hotel there were other ways to get there.
Near to the Bart subway and Muni Metro buses the restaurants location is very accessible by public transportation.
Now let’s talk food.
I arrived in time for Happy Hour but I had to order from the bar due to a private event taking place.

Firstly I started off with some Cocktails.
I decided to go with their “Fake A Smile” cocktail.

Cucumber infused Vodka, lemon ,simple syrup
My drink was really good I actually ordered one more round after the first one.
Secondly the waiter brought out my appetizer’s.
Double Duck Wings–
Served with mango habanero glaze and green seasoning Served with mango habanero glaze and green seasoning

This was the first time I actually tried Duck Wings and I must say I really enjoyed them.
Next up was the second appetizer I chose.
Baked Cornbread–
Served with Thai red curry butter

The biscuits were really good.
Undoubtedly the Thai Curried Butter was a game changer.
After that it was time for the entrees.
LOBSTER ‘RASTA’ PASTA *contains shellfish
parmesan cream

Now I have to say this dish was absolutely delicious !
It arrived hot and the combination of the Lobster and Parmesan cheese was delightful!
Without a doubt this was a favorite dish at Dinner.
KOREAN GOCHUJANG HALF RACK-RIBS
toasted sesame, scallion

IN SPITE OF THE RIBS BEING A LITTLE UNDER COOKED FOR MY TASTE THEY WERE STILL GOOD.
BLACKENED CATFISH GF
morel mushroom, hobb’s bacon, frisรฉe, spring onion purรฉe

THE CATFISH WAS A LITTLE TO SALTY FOR MY LIKING.NOT BAD BUT JUST A BIT TO MUCH SALT

THE MAC & CHEESE WAS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT.
Last but not least was the Dessert.
