Javier’s was the second restaurant I had the chance to visit in the beautiful Irvine section of Los Angeles.

Right off of the 405- freeway nestled away in the gorgeous Spectrum Center you will find Javier’s.
With its intimate patio and beautifully laid out indoor décor the ambience here is stunning even at night.

As soon I entered the restaurant I said to someone this spot has a Miami vibe.
I then had to rethink my statement because Javier’s was uniquely Irvine!
In truth just like the city this restaurant was electric, energetic and stylish.
Certainly reservations are highly recommend as this spot is the definition of “Trendy”

I had a 7pm reservation and the place was already super packed when we arrived.
And it only got more crowded as the night went on.
Now let’s talk food and drinks!
Obviously I started off with some Cocktails.

TAMARINDO
$20
a blend of Milagro Reposado Tequila, fresh tamarindo, agave nectar, fresh lime juice
Martini de Café con Leche
$22
Mr. Black, Five Farms Irish Cream, cinnamon
The Martini de Café con Leche was the cocktail I ordered.
I had been out all day enjoying my vacation and spending time with family and friends that by the time dinner reservations came around I was totally exhausted.
So this coffee flavored Martini was just the pick me up I needed!
Next it was time for appetizers.
We ordered a few serving’s of their Guacamole.
Guacamole
$16
avocado, cilantro, onions, queso cotija

While I did enjoy their guacamole it wasn’t the best I ever had.
After that the entrees came out.
I ordered the very popular Trio de Enchiladas Del Mar.

Trio de Enchiladas Del Mar
$46
shrimp, crab and lobster enchiladas
I also added a side of rice and beans to compliment my main dish.

It should be noted that our entrees arrived really quickly.
At first I was really happy about that because I thought wow what great customer service.
But unfortunately a few people from our parties food arrived lukewarm and had to be sent back to the kitchen.
Obviously I was not happy about that.
For this reason I cant really say I enjoyed my enchiladas.

Lastly for dessert since we were pretty full from our appetizers & entrees.
We just ordered some mixed fruit with whipped cream.

All in all I enjoyed the dining experience at Javier’s.
The location ,décor and customer service was excellent.
However even though I would still recommend this restaurant I would not give them five stars.
Particularly because more than one persons food in our dining party arrived unsatisfactory.
To sum things up go for the ambience and vibe of the place not for the food.
