Earlier this month I had the chance to check out the Golden Girls Pop-up kitchen in New York’s South Street Seaport.
It should be noted that I am a Golden Girls fanatic!
I can honestly go on record and say that in my opinion The Golden Girls television show is one the best T.V shows ever produced. Period!
Watching this is show takes me to my happy place.
In fact I watch this show every night before bed.
Conversely if you were to Google the most comforting shows to watch before bed The Golden Girls TV show comes up.
So you can only imagine my excitement when I saw on Instagram that a Golden Girls Pop-up was coming to town.

The New York City exhibit ran from Dec 7th- 2022 to March 31th 2023.
The tickets were sold through a third party vendor called the Bucketlisters.

I purchased my tickets for the 2pm lunch experience.
Since we were a party of three we reserved the table for $165.
That package price is for parties of 3 or 4.

What Your Ticket Includes
Each ticket includes a 90-minute reservation as well as your choice of a Golden Main + slice of cheesecake. There will be additional sides, desserts, beverages, and exclusive The Golden Girls Kitchen merchandise to add on arrival.
Firstly the exhibition starts off in the infamous Miami kitchen.

The place where the girls would discuss all their troubles over pieces of Lasagna & slices of Cheesecake.

The Strawberry Cheesecake was a little better tasting than the Chocolate Cheesecake.

Then we head over to the old faithful Rusty Anchor.

Undoubtedly Blanche Devereaux’s favorite pass time for having Cocktails & Flirting with all of her men!

Soon after we were led upstairs to one of the girls favorite spots to lunch the Lanai.

My Cuban Sandwich was good but not the best I ever had.

Last but certainly not least it was time to check out Blanche’s boudoir.

In truth this part of the exhibit was hands down my favorite.
Not only was it the most authenic section but it was also the most immersive.

To sum things up this experience was enjoyable but regrettably fell short of being awesome.
The food served was mediocre which is really a shame since food is such a big part of he show.
Furthermore the whole event is extremely overpriced for what you get.
Given these points I will say go with your tribe for the nostalgia not the food.
